Harvest 2014, it’s going very well for us

 In Uncategorized

After a nice and sunny month of August, with particularly fresh temperatures during the night, the harvest started in early September with a few vineyards of Chardonnay and Pinot Grigio, followed by the picking of Pecorino and later of Trebbiano and Cococciola. Some wines are already at the end of fermentation and show remarkable freshness and fine perfumes, with alcoholic degree in the average.

Montepulciano vine requires still waiting: at the moment health is good, ripening is regular, thanks to warm and sunny days. The generous rainfall in June and in July and the lower ones at the end of summer assure good water supply to the plant, while fears for grapes’ health occurred at the beginning of summer do not mind any more.
