Production and wine making
100% Montepulciano’s vine variety grapes. After de-stemming, the fermentation on the skins starts for 7-12 days, depending on the characteristics of the year; also follows a malolactic fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks; a part of the wine is aged briefly in large barrels before final cut.
Normally available for consumption in the summer following the harvest.
Features of the wine
The color is deep ruby red, with purple tinge in his youth. Aromas of plum, summer red apple, black cherry and violet. The palate shows a good structure and a remarkable body, despite its nature of young and fresh wine. It should be drunk within two or three years. It reaches an alcohol content of 13.50% vol. To be served at 16-17°C.
It’s a versatile wine that lends itself to the combination with many dishes, from vegetable soups to pasta, from red and white meats to cheeses.
